This is a family favorite that makes enough to feed THE WHOLE family! We’ve been eating this since I was a kid and I like to think I perfected it over the years. We always called it French Spaghetti and I was never sure why so I asked. My Great Grandma came up with the recipe with stuff she just had in the cupboards and my Great Grandpa, Frenchie, loved it. I love family recipes that are passed down and gives you a taste of childhood every time you make it.

Ingredients

3-4 Packs of Bacon

6 Bricks of cheese (grated). I use a mix of sharp and medium cheddar.

4 Green Peppers

2 Large yellow onions

4 Large Cans (28oz) crushed tomatoes

2 Boxes spaghetti

Turkey size oval foil roast pan

Fry all the bacon, and chop your green pepper and onions while its frying. When the bacon is done put your chopped peppers and onions in the grease and fry them until soft.

Preheat oven to 400°

Grate your cheese and boil the noodles and set them aside. When everything is done we are going to do 2 layers in our pan.

Let’s layer it up!

I put a little more on my first layer than my second.

Put half the noodles down, add some salt and pepper on top of those.

Add 2 cans of crushed tomatoes.

Cover with cheese.

Put half of the green peppers and onions on top of the cheese and some bacon.

I like to crumble some of the bacon up and leave some of it in big pieces.

Repeat for second layer.

Cover with foil and bake for an hour. Stir and cover it back up and put back in the oven for another hour.

I serve it with garlic bread and pumpernickel with butter.
