When you can’t find a good pot pie to buy at the store, you make your own! I found Grandma’s pie pan buried in a cupboard so I decided to make a second attempt at a Chicken Pot Pie, with a pie pan!
Preheat Oven to 425° and bake for 40 minutes
The Ingredients. Garlic & Onion Butter Chicken Broth Pillsbury Pie Crust 4 Packs of Chicken Gravy Broccoli Florets Carrots Chicken Tenderloins Potatoes
Steam the broccoli. You can use peas if you prefer but broccoli has more flavor and peas are gross.
Peel and cut potatoes small before you boil them
Boil Potatoes in chicken broth and water for added flavor!
I also add butter, salt, and my favorite garlic and herb seasoning.
Chop onions to boil with your carrots and boil them until they are soft.
I add one cube to the carrots and onions while they boil because…..flavor!
Onions and Garlic sauteing in butter before you add the chicken in.
Chicken tenderloins with whatever seasoning you choose. I use my favorite garlic and herb.
Everything’s going good!
4 packs of gravy with the recommended amount of water of the pack. Let it thicken up before adding other ingredients.
Chicken is done, Potatoes are done!
The Mixture! I could eat it just like this!
Put the first pie crust in your pie pan and add mixture.
Add the top layer and tuck it under the bottom layer to seal it up. I brushed some butter on the top and around the crust before putting it in the oven.
Perfect!
I am so happy how this turned out I didn’t even want to cut into it!
