I’ve never been to Trader Joe’s! We don’t have one that’s close to our house so today I decided to go on an adventure and find the things I need to make Chicken Noodle Soup. That should be easy enough. It’s a 25 to 30 minute drive to get to Trader Joe’s and a bonus that there is a Wahlburgers on the way. I may or may not have got carryout for lunch to eat in the parking lot. When I walked into Trader Joe’s I felt lost. Where are the Hostess snacks, the lays potato chips, and every name brand item that I purchase at Kroger. I honestly had no Idea what to buy or what could even taste good. Since I set out to make Chicken Noodle Soup I figured I’d just get what I need for that. I left with Chicken Broth (which was amazing) and some Celery. I headed to Kroger after I left Trader Joe’s to get the rest of the stuff I needed.
Ingredients
This Chicken Noodle Soup recipe is super easy to make and tastes amazing! Click Here for a a Picture of what I normally use when I don’t make fancy trips to Trader Joe’s!
You will need:
- Chicken Broth (any kind works, but Trader Joe’s was pretty tasty!) I buy 3 – 32oz boxes of broth
- Chopped Onion
- Chopped Celery
- Chopped Carrots
- Rotisserie Chicken
- Yoders Amish Country Egg Noodles. Medium or wide. Whichever you prefer
- Extra Chicken Bouillion. Either cubes or powder. This gives it a little more chicken flavor
- Boil Onion, Carrots, and Celery in a pot until tender.
- In a separate pot start to get your broth warm. Add extra bullion and water to make as much juice and as to add as much flavor that you want.
- Boil noodles, but don’t get them all the way done. You’ll want them to simmer in your soup for a few.
- Break up your chicken and put it into broth so it can simmer untl you are ready to add your veggies!
- Once veggies are soft and the noodles are ready add into broth and let simmer.
- Add salt and pepper for taste. I also like to add some basil for added flavor.
- Let it simmer together for about a half hour and enjoy!
